Excellent housekeeping Hung. I like a tidy mind.

  2. sandshoe says:

Wild pic. Is that a painting, a photograph or a miracle?

  3. sandshoe says:

Thank you Hung. Elaine Page’s phrasing is like sweet honey. Chick Corea and Gary Burton need me later on when it is cool and the laptop has a chance to cool off. So lovely to get these. The heat is horrendous, seeping in every which way.

  4. Good choice of heavenly music. Who cares about old mattresses when you can get transported to a world of Hung’s musical choices?
You don’t even need a Ute.

  5. H says:

Heavenly,I want to keep listening Andres Segovia play Villa Lobos the rest of the day…I’ll stop only to hear, yet again, Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No 3….
    Many thanks Hung.

    The others have to wait.

    • Hung says:

Yes I like the classical players, beautiful sound. I tried learning the classical guitar once but it was very hard.

    • Segovia really was THE Maestro of guitar. He actually retunes one string at about 1:30 in the video, without missing a note.

Villa Lobos was an extraordinary composer, primarily pieces for cello, but his preludes for guitar are amazing. I did try to learn the first prelude, when I was young. So bloody difficult to even make a passing stab at the piece!

      • Hung says:

Mark, when I was learning classical I would memorise the piece and so I could play it very well. One day my teacher said I want you to play this piece from here(about 4 stanzas in) I was shot.

      • sandshoe says:

That is interesting about memorising and losing flexibility to enter and exit at random points in the manuscript. That looks on the other hand so easy watching a master class of advanced musicians, Hung. If only.

I wish I could fit a piano in through the front door or back. I have honestly been thinking of stashing one in the small garage…and out embarrassment about driving the locals spare. :)
