Did you see/hear Joe Hockey at the National Press Club yesterday ? It was all gloom, doom and fiscal responsibility and how they were going to shove it up the tax department for being hostile to small business.
Not one mention of the NDIS, nothing. No policy, nothing.
If I didn’t have a good supply of happy drugs, I could well get depressed.
Fortunately there is still enough time for the Libnats to show unequivocally that they are indeed a pack of useless counts* and for Labor to scape over the line. But then, in my book, optimism dies last, so I could be way way off the mark.
He looked to have that insipid pose that commentators like Gerald Henderson seem to put up. I thought moirs cartoon in the SMH today summed it iup beautifully.
What gets me is that the tories are saying nothing, they are more than happy to put forward dishonest lines then repeat them ad nauseum. Hockey also isn’t a treasurers sphincter. He made errors last election, Has in excess of $70b in errors on costings then we have the getting rid of the carbon price but maintaining the tax compensation, huh, were’s the money coming from.
Of course Labor can still win and the tories can blow their feet of however I suspect Adolf Turd will be PM later in the year but maybe not as big as many think. what a joy a government that mirrors Billy McMahon’s.
Struth, I remember that, Algy ! Billy was completely unelectable and Gough smashed him. Back in those days the natipn could smell a drongo from a mile off.
One thing though, windbag joe is more articulate than Andrew Robb, they need to get him fronting the press. Should Adolf get in he’ll be a one term government, drongo is praising him.
I turned it off and then I turned it back on. Totally dreadful. Uninspiring in every way. Fibs and a lot of very general statements. It can be depressing but I too try to block that out, usually by yelling obscene words at the poor tele. Not liking Liberals is of course in my DNA but this lot are the total pits. No talent, no idea, no nothing. Worst in my memory. McMahon was a dickhead but I think he was rather harmless. Losing to Gough back in 1972 is something which they have never ‘gotten’ (hate that word) over. Instead of it fading in their memory it just gets stronger and stronger and they hate Labor/unions with more bile and venom than ever before. They have blinded themselves to doing any decent for the long term. It is also all the worse when you look at the total hypocrisy of their current ‘criticisms’ of Labor and of course the MSM in general never ever ever taking them to task on a damn thing. It all stinks. (I feel better for that.)
I’ve noticed the liberal dickheads ver at the drum are talking about “grown ups”. Some of the purile carry on they go on with is simply childish. They’re probably not intelligent enough to notice the irony I suppose

I’ll bight. Get rid of the carbon tax keep the tax cuts and that should be $5b. Well it cost $30b so where is the other $25b coming from.
Mind you this will be wonderful for his thought bubbles.

Yes, Robb looks and sounds like he had a lobotomy. I don’t think he has recovered from his depression one bit.
