Thanks again, Algernon. Mickey is a good choice. I haven’t watched the video-clip Mickey for a long time, at least a couple of decades. Toni Basil is/was a very talented woman.

Apparently in her late 60’s she still puts dancers in their 20’s to shame. Thanks hph

As musicians, they were perfectionists, Helvi. ABBA’s music (songs) was not created as easily as it sounds. A great deal of hard work went into it during production.

Interesting collection with some I have never heard of. Not that this means anything as I am not familiar with most of the popular music artist’s names. I am forever chastised for not knowing world famous artists. Not that I don’t like music, I do, but don’t take the trouble remembering the names. Of course , Beatles, Ray Charles, The Bee gees, Edith Piaf, Carly Simons and many others I do know and of course the classical composers. Then there are those in between, Leonard Cohen, Cesária Évora , Lady Ga Ga, Marlene Dietrich and many more.
Time filters out many that just never made it, they are the forgotten ones that you often find catching dust at second hand record stalls.

don’t think I’ve ever included a Lady Ga Ga but I did include Pink for the first time. I could have included the Janis Joplin version, however I think she did pretty good cover of her, There were a handful of lesser known artists.

Dusko appears to be a very popular in Croatia. I looked at his bio in wikipedia with the translation below.
“Brother is known economics professor Branimir LOKIN .
Less well known is that the 17th year was a successful athlete. At 17 years old he played football in the second league, and as a handball was called in the Yugoslav national team .
It is known as a solo artist, but before he sang part Kondori together with Zoran cowherds (later a professor at the Faculty of Philosophy), who played the guitar with Vedran Bozic , who played on the piano.
With condom played at dances and 1969th with the condom had a big bestseller Dear Mary “.

That’s a translation that places his stardom in a new light, algernon. 🙂

Sounds a bit of a lad at dances doesn’t he. Unsure what he does with the cowherds though. I wonder if he has problems with hair growing out of his ears.

Perhaps it was early indoctrination in the wise adage be prepared no matter what that got him across the line. 😉
