The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2013 annual report for this blog.
Here’s an excerpt:
The Louvre Museum has 8.5 million visitors per year. This blog was viewed about 77,000 times in 2013. If it were an exhibit at the Louvre Museum, it would take about 3 days for that many people to see it.

I find it comical sometimes when some think that there are only 8 regulars here. I don’t know about others but I visit many blogs, Sometimes I leave a comment most the time I don’t. Interesting that from Canada 1095 hits, US 4965, UK 1588, France 735, Germany 561, Italy 265, India 269. Now I haven’t gone through all 153 countries. But I suspect there are many return visitors here from those countries but they don’t leave a reply.
I suspect people come and go and have argued thus. The beauty about this site is that anyone can have a go and post something for others to commentate on. Now I can’t recall ever posting a political post here, commentate yes but post no. The same for many of the others here.
Perhaps those that protest the most should post something for comment.
The evidence suggests that there are many visitors, 77000 last year, nothing else.

Beat yez!
Last year:
Canada 1981
USA 12,242
UK 2,237
Oz 2042:
12,242 for the 365 days from 121 countries including Zimbabwe, Zambia, Uzbekistan Uraguay, Syria, a place called R’ Eunion (must check where that is) Oman, Myanmar, Israel, Eritrea, etc, etc, etc.
And I’ve only started the blog just over two years ago!
This fascinates me. Not in a boastful way but because people in the remotest parts (remote from our perspective, admitedly) have the ability to connect with you and to engage with you on interest that you wouldn’t think you’d share.
It’s an awesome thing to think that you can send a you tube of a piece of classical music to someone in these places and to start a most profound conversation upon it!
Awesomely awesome, I reckon!

I agree Ato, if I looked the map there were some rather obscure places who visited, perhaps the one look and move on but hey some one had a look. Junior has his own youtube channel and puts things up. A few here a hundred or a thousand there. He had a very good music piece he put together that managed 70000 hits.
One of my lists from 2012 was the fourth most visited last year, people played that selection yet there were only 8 comments. Like you, Ato, I’m chuffed about that.

We had taken Milo for a walk, in the heat (sorry it was M who took US for walk)….
We was thirsty, honest, and popped in to the lovely rejuvenated beer-garden at the back of the Hotel Royal …Milo was thirsty too, after a bit of thinking I found a clean ash tray, and sent G to the Gents to fill it with water…M drank it all, the refill was too much for him…he turned his nose away: I’m not a drunk.

Forgetting ought to be made a thing of the future, Hung. That’s not a bad line eh. I made it up on my own.
How, Hung, could you be having another birthday. You look too young. HB, HOO

Big one, you forgot the “left arm raising” loonies who have completely taken over the podium of this bar! Those poor bastards of the Right find it bloody hard to swig a beer in here! Let’s raise a well aled right arm for them! Pubs must have them all. Governments should only have intelligent (of mind and heart) lefties.

Unfortunately, you have hit the nail on the head, atomou (excuse lame metaphor).
Does no one wonder why there is only a hard core of 6-9 bloggers?
Look in the mirror. I have tried to get people to join in for 4 years.
I won’t repeat what they say, however, there are (about) 8 regulars and they each have(about) 7 fans. Get the picture? Not even the lefties want to join in??
Now you can protest and tell me I’m wrong, however you’ve just tabled the evidence!!

Interesting, what was it 153 countries visited the Pigs, like Uzbekistan, Iceland and Suriname. Also one of the Music lists from 2012 had the 5 most views. 77000 odd views for a site that sells nothing.
How nice if some of those 153 countries left a comment.
