I was taken aback by the horrid comments under the Smith’s clip.

Tandoori chicken here, about to go in oven. Love lamb shanks. Lamb roast Monday night when the girls come for dinner (it’s become a very movable occasion, the lamb roast).

We love a lamb roast here, the older two have gone away and the youngest out for the day so I’ve had time to indulge. Had a lamb shank at the local pub the other night for the girls end of season dinner and had a hankering for them again. So I thought I’d give it a go.

Very good vivienne, I read about her learnt guitar at the age of 26 and won several awards I see she’s married to a baptist paster who just happens to be chaplain to bikies. Certainly an interesting life

Disco isn’t my favourite genre but I like two I’ve selected here. Sharon Jones is 60’s soul produced a lot tater.

And flairs?

I nearly said that but the blokes in that vid didn’t have flairs on (or did they). Those were the days when everyone had a lot of fun, singing and dancing and smiling.
Love the Animals of course – great song and that lead me to watching and listening, again, to Stuck in the Middle ….. great beat.

Really Algy !! I kept some high heels for daughters’ dress ups. The crocodile skin ones went down a treat along with my long black leather coat (with fur trim – bought in London, cost a fortune) for one daughter in a school play when she was 12. Hating Alison Ashbury. She was the mother and none of the kids recognised her on arrival. Also wearing a dress which was sort of Stevie Nix ish.

Yep bought in a market in England in 1975 for 10 quid.they were resoled and re-heeled a few times. My sister knows were they are as I don’t have them at home. They still looked as good as the day I bought them the last time I saw them.

Wish it was here vivienne, since when do you get day after day of rain in Sydney in August. At least winter sport is over for the Algernonina’s. Looked like I had a two trips to Katoomba for the Elder had she won last week.
Yes the title was appropriate. I’d guess half of this will be new to most. The first one has been a bit of an ear worm for me the last couple of weeks.

August has actually been pretty dry here. Heading for record low rainfall for the area for the month. The place looks green and lush none the less.

In three days this week we had more rain than we’d had in the previous six months. We’ll just need a but of sun and the grass will start growing. We were starting to get bare earth patches in the lawn in a few places.

We watch your weather every night. Juanita and Graham as he saunters leg over leg to the big screen. We get it via a satellite for ABC/SBS Australia wide. Hubby can’t stand Vic news. Cost a fortune but keeps him happy !

Bet it does. What is the Victorian news 5 minutes of local with about 20 minutes of AFL followed by the weather. 🙂

Ha ha – spot on. Actually the news often starts with an AFL story. We have our local Prime news first and it is much the same. Unbloodybelieveable.
Of interest – re Rugby – the grandson of a friend of mine is doing a 3 week trial so they (the Rabbitos) can decide whether to offer him 1 or 3 year contract. The name to look out for is Bronson Meehan. He’s only 15.

I’m with Algy, Viv. Victorian news is weird. Try as I might I just don’t get why AFL is worth watching – it seems so random. I guess it might be a lot more fun to play than to watch. But then (Sorry Bronson) Same for League. A good game of Union is wonderful, but a bad one is as as much fun as a prostate check up. Same for soccer plus 10%.
I’m a tad busy, Algy. I’ll have to listen more carefully over lunch tomorrow. Many thanks. Cheers.
