Great selection as always, Agae… Frankie Laine sounds a bit dated (and not a little weird) these days.
Some surprises in the mix too, with the Tom Jones/CSNY gig… Well done! Keep ’em coming! 😀

Tom jones did some interesting things on his TV show. One list recently had Janis Joplin and him. Great stuff

Just watched that very number, Algae… was great stuff indeed. His albums (or at least, those of his albums that my Mum had) sounded tame by comparison. He’s really a great jazz/blues vocalist. (And I really never thought I’d say that about Tom Jones, tbh!) 😀

Listening to it as I type… Didn’t know they’d ever recorded anything together; interesting mix… Tom’s voice is fantastic for this song. Reckon he was capable of so much more than ‘Delilah’ etc.
CSNY were always fantastic! 🙂

Forgot to ask Ace but are we baby boomers?

Depends on what definition you go with. For me you need to have been born 9 months after the end of WW2 and before 1960.

Yes we are HOO, both born in 58.
I agree with viv about the start but there is much conjecture about the end. Currently I think it stands at 1964. That is what the ABS defines as the Baby Boomer generation. I thought it a year or two earlier when I was growing up.

Definition different in the USA. The phrase was coined 20 years after the end of WW2 and since then they’ve been defined by nonsense. Urban Dictionary definition is the disgusting one.
