I think 1970 was my last year of school, 5th form in dem days. Is that right Ace? And 2SM was the station to listen to or Double Jay. I can remember being a Led Zep, Cream and Black Sabbath fan that set me up nicely to become a blues guitarist.

They must have accelerated you HOO. 1970 was my last year in Primary School so I’m thinking you were in 1st Form. 2SM was the station then.
2JJ was 1975 which I’m guessing was your last year at High School, mine was 1976. They changed 6th Form to Year 12 that year. Our year was having none of that we were 6th Form.

Yeah, you are right. I was finished nursing in 1978 or 79. Never good at chronology. I was in second year nursing when Aja was released and I just checked Wiki that said it was released in 1977, so nursing was three years so I must have finished my training in 1978. Got married to Tutu in 1981 then moved to Adelaide. I’d had enough of the catholic school at 4th form and did 5th form at Bulli High then went nursing.

Mum and Dad wanted me to do 6th form and go to uni, wished I listened to them now but my hatred for school was to strong.

I was selected to go to James Ruse, parents thought it too far to go to school and talked me out of it. Not one of their wisest choices. I was bored by 3rd Form. Still that was many years ago and everything worked out in the end.

It’s funny when you look back. All of that stuff seems so easy now. Perhaps our teachers were just shit house.

Saw the Carpenters live in concert in London. Absolutely fabulous. Karen singing her heart out as she played the drums. Gorgeous voice. (Such a sad end to her life.)

Not one I’d normally put in a list but works well here. Lovely soft pop.

All of the Carpenter’s songs were beautifully crafted. Just what pop music is supposed to be.

I’d prepared this list in the past weeks with Toots and the Maytals on the list. Toots Hibbert died last weekend. COVID claims another. Their song Do the Reggay was credited in the start of the name Reggae
