Long Lost – Lord Huron
Album presentation by Algernon
I’ll be surprised if any regulars have heard of Lord Huron. To be honest I don’t know much of them. But I came across this album, which was released last month, what a surprise. Lord Huron could be described as Indie folk or Indie Rock. This album is a very nice mix of Baroque pop, folk, outlaw country and rock’n’roll with just a hint of Ennio Morricone and spaghetti westerns. Some lovely guitar work on some tracks.
Enjoy.

Enjoyed the music, not so much the videos. Can’t connect with blurred scrubbed out faces.

It opened and the very sound of the depth and resonance of the guitar sold me. I also love this ‘Ayers Rock’ (Big Red Rock) kind of approach of coming in with sound from nowhere like a harmonic twanging in and building from a celestial sphere … but then the bloke’s voice is bewful. I bet that voice can do anything. It’s absolutely true. Thanks Algy. I needed a break from my study for an exam but I’m thinking this can play again when I go back to the study. I went and checked them out on Wikipedia. From Michigan. My dear friend Doug I lost result of his being obese and we couldn’t help him … Doug was from Michigan.
Golly it’s beautiful comfortable fusion. It’s got everything.

Yes that’s what got me the opening sound and the deep guitar. Glad you’re enjoying it Shoe.

Algy Algy Algy !!!
One minute into this album and I am well and truly hooked !
It’s amazing !.
Love the pixelated anonymity – itself sent up by the lone ranger putting a mask over his own pixellated image.
And, as you say, Ennio Morricone sound.
What a find !
Many thanks, as always.
