Me three, Gez. Such a beautiful voice. I guess that’s what the pub is – a place for discovery and re-discovery. Many thanks.

A good piss-up tonight needed. There are ‘vales’ all around. I’ll have two ‘sex on the beach’ please. (with ice). Is there any ‘extra pain no charge’ on tonight?

What a great voice, thanks for sharing that, Gerard. Like Hung I can’t say that I’ve heard of her.

One of the grandsons asked us to leave the music on when he went to bed, ‘it makes me feel happy’ he said, and fell asleep in no time…normally the sleep does not come so easily to him….all electronic gadgets ought to be banned before bedtime…only nice music and good books should be allowed..

Agree Helvi, the mind is still functioning when using the gadgets. They stop the brain from preparing to sleep.

Sad and happy at the same time. Perhaps they have always been the same.

Gee, fantastic Gerard, I honestly haven’t heard of her but will follow her now. This reminds me of one of my best friends, an indigenous guy from the Coorong. He was my neighbour and we became great mates. We both played the guitar and would have many jam sessions together. His name was Bertie “Nugget” Rankine. Nugget was a giant of a man, six pick handles across and if you didn’t know him very scary but he was the best bloke I ever met. One night we played a duo at a party. I was the only white person there. It taught me a lot about being a minority and how when you are the minority you can feel threatened not that I was under any threat hat night, in fact the opposite, I was made an honorary member of the tribe. They dug a pit in the back yard and lit a fire. We played music, drank alcohol and smoked dope all night long, it was fantastic and I remember it as if is was tomorrow. Nugget is dead now, he was my brother, I loved him and he loved me, our spirits will live forever over Kangaroo Island, I am happy with that. That is the Nunga way.
