Painting and Story by Lehan Winifred Ramsay
Blue Man wakes up in a sudden clenching sweat. Sleep comes only after a long wait, it stays only a short time but during this time it binds him tightly. Sleep begins and ends with a dream; tight clear dreams of impossible possibilities. Blue man waits for the dawn to break, wishing that the night would start again, bring again the possibility that sleep will come.
Each impossible possibility sets off another round of self-deflection. Each deflection strips away another layer of I-didn’t-realize-things-were. The dawn skies fill with squarking birds.

Glad to see you back in action, Lehan! Another wonderful painting… I think I know just how your ‘blue man’ feels…

Perhaps this was an acutely-observed snapshot. I’m wondering whether Blue man could paint for himself a sunnier day in the near future. I wish him well. It’s a wishing well.

Another great entry, Lehan! A mountain of thankses.
I love the power, the assertiveness, the audacity, the indubitability of your colours and of your characterisations. Everything I saw of yours speaks volumes and speaks them clearly, indisputably. So does this blue man.
I don’t understand how such few lines can say so much.
The same with your stories, the thoughts that have obviously triggered your art. Or is it the other way? No, I think it’s thoughts (and thus disposition) first, followed by the taking up of the brush.
I’m in awe, Lehan!
I sincerely hope you’re well and not too hassled by things around you.

He looks just like a friend of mine who lives in Singapore. Both the shape of the face and the expression. From time to time I think he entertains feelings of homesickness but he has family obligations, so stays.
You’re home now with no-one to serve but yourself. Are you sure the blue dude isn’t the one keeping you off balance? I did warn you about letting blue in.
I say get out, go large, make a noise, smile at a stranger. The problem is inside. You need to go out more often and bring back the change you’re seeking.

I agree.
Concur, even!
AND symphonise!
Might even harmonise!
But don’t get me wrong, I’m no yo-yo!

I couldn’t resist it, Ato… I just had to find you some ‘Low Yo-Yo Stuff’ that you could symphonise and harmonise with! Here is the magic Captain, with ‘Low Yo Yo Stuff’:

Nice to see you back, Lehan, you have been missed. The Blue Man makes me feel a bit blue.
Are you settling easily back in Australia, or are you already missing Japan, after all spent many years there.

My friend Arthur, looked like that once. We’d been queuing for an all night bus in Oxford Street, after a night out at The Marqee. It was January, and cold…http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marquee_Club
