Dionne Warwick, The Temptations for me, I don’t know some of them…
Sorry about the delay putting the list up; first Gez could not open the thing, and then we had to rush to Sydney…a friend just came back from a five week trip to China, she was also leaving for Hawaii last night…lucky bastard.

We got there in the end though, some a re a little different, that would be the Northern Soul influences here.

Music playing/cold and rubbish day today after a lovely day yesterday. Thanks for the list algernon (Gez for posting it). Jim Ingram is so great. And the video. I had not heard of him. Sentiments among these I can understand. Johnny Taylor reminds me a bit of the Neville brothers. Thank you again.

Its a great song that one, just builds and builds. Shawn Robinson is a favourite here, classic Northern Soul. This list is a bit of an indulgence for me..

What an amazing sound Garnet Mimms’ voice makes… more indulgence. 🙂

Thanks for that shoe, something Janis Joplin covered a few years later, like so many soul singers he started singing Gospel. What a great voice he has.
