Here one can really tell the men from the boys. Say what you like but Abbott is all for having women employed to their full capacity. It is just that he believes women are at their peak of fulfilment having babies and doing the ironing at home while supporting dad.

At least with David Cameron we see the moral stance of a Liberal taking Shri Lanka’s Government to task for their murderous action against the Tamil tigers. Compare that with our own Tory, Abbott, smooching up to the killers to sign an agreement to try and stop people smuggling. Cameron knows that thousands of Shri Lankans are flooding into Europe and England compared with the few hundred here. Abbott uses a photo opportunity to again up the ante towards ‘illegals’ while Cameron stays fixed on taking a strong moral position. That is the difference between a leader and a leaner.

Most of the time Julie Bishop won’t even be in the House as she will be somewhere else in the world, ‘swanning’ around or big noting herself at the UN. Apparently she fully supported Labor’s work on getting membership of the Security Council. Liberals can do wonders, even rewrite recent history.
