Glad you like the Helvi, there’s another list on a similar theme this week called “Wind”

Thank you again, algy. I recalled this song from my neck of the woods. The first link puts you to the singer songwriter performing it… and includes the words although they are pretty well clear.

The second is to a trio that does an excellent version of it and deserve I think to be recognised…

Excellent theme and choice. Love Raining Men. There is another which I can’t remember all the details but am sure it was simply called Rain. During the first drought we experienced here a musical friend used to sing it to us for his supper.

Can’t find it. I think (I was never sure) that our friend wrote the song himself.

Maybe The Beatles ‘Rain’?

No. It includes the words, Hey (pause) Rain. I’ll do a bit more searching to convince myself.

Right, there is a song titled Hey Rain and it is very similar. But it comes from 1986. The one I first heard was in 1976. The only other similar phrase is ‘rain on the roof’ and ‘raining coming down’. The rest isn’t it. Maybe it got pinched and became the new song (expanded).

Hiya Vivienne, I posted a song above here called ‘Hey Rain’ that is based on Innisfail, NQ rain.

Thought about including The Beatles (don’t know why I didn’t).

There is this version on Youtube that I found as a standalone. How long it will last there who knows as I saw another version has been pulled on copyright. Any other version I could see was attached to other songs or part of an album, algy.

Very hard to find an original Bob Dylan, the one I included was a live version.

It was meant to rain here this weekend, hoping not to have to go to Netball, but it cleared early enough and all slots were played. Had to contend with a howling wind instead it was very cold from the north west very strange. there were a few cheeky one in this lot.
