Another good pain(t)ing, Lehan. I remember my old art teacher, Desiderius Orban, telling his students to always hang the work upside down. ‘It should look just as good’, he said.
In the meantime I have to change the liner of the kitchen bin. The fish yesterday wasn’t as fresh as it might have been. I suppose buying fish on a Sunday afternoon is asking for trouble. Part of the problem too is that the plastic liners and bins rarely match. I don’t know why that is so. It is an extra problem.
So are people Lehan. The more I get to know them, the better they look when viewed upside down. I mean the people, not me.
I never thought I would come to that life ought to be lived upside down as well. The ‘normal’ is a dead end and to find relief from ‘normal’ we have to try all positions that will change the normal into something that is more acceptable. It is not easy and can take a lifetime. At my mid seventies I am getting there and the normal is almost gone now.

I read a book by or about him a long long time ago, maybe when I was in High School. It looks better upside down.

I started it that side up and then I turned it upside down and painted it again. There was also a landscape. 3 sides.

Wow ! What a concept – unravelling the normal – one trait at a time !
