Merv announced today the completion (finally) of the renovations for the Pig’s Arms Ladies Lounge. He was quoted as saying “I’m looking to create a comfortable and safe – even ‘homey’ environment for the ladies of Inner West Cyberia to gather together and exchange pleasantries.
Use of beer mats will be mandatory.
And no cussin’ or spittin’ on the floor !”
Patrons are expecting a slight rise in the cost of pink drinks – in line with rises in the CPPI (Charge Pig’s Patrons Incredibly).
Merv is expecting to recover costs by Friday afternoon.

Rather posh but not enough seats. Not enough lounges really. Oh – um ……. not enough women in the pub. Guess we should
be thankful for this very thoughtful provision. Perhaps a couple of cushions could go on the list of things to do once the bar
has been installed. A Cinzano Rosso on the rocks for me (it’s winter).

At last. Some real news. I’m sick of Tony’s impending erection, Joe’s rubbery figures, Julia’s hair colour, and Swannee’s incessant whining.
Let’s hope this becomes a haven for the ladies in our lives. Merv might add ‘Cups of Chino’ (as they say in Newcastle) to the menu?
