Frank Ifield, wow. That brings back memories. How ever did he get a number one in The UK, with that hairstyle. BTW, I’m going from memory now. I suppose I had better look at the clip.
It might be one where he’s just had a trendy cut.
Oh well there’s no going back now. I’m committed.

Oh well it didn’t show. However from memory he had a sort of Donald Trump.

Wendy Mathews is OK. Men at work had a Scottish singer-and they just lost a court case for plaguerisng. Kookaburra up a tree or summit.

The tunes on the side showed the haircut though. 50 years ago it was number one VL.

I love Renee’s version, though I think mainly for the arrangement; but Bobby Bland’s version of “(If Lovin’ You Is Wrong,) I Don’t Wanna Be Right.” will always remain for me the definitive version, but maybe that’s got to do with stuff that was happening at the time. You know how that goes….

High praise from the master himself. Thank you Waz.
I’ve enjoyed putting together a summer edition whilst you’ve been away. One of them was on cover versions where I put together originals and covers back to back. Have a look if you have time. Oh and I liked this offering.

Slim Dusty’s ‘When/The Rain Tumbles Down in July’ is there!
It is no shadow of a doubt in my mind the greatest ballad in Australian literature. Jeez, mate you’re orright … 😉

Frank Ifield’s ‘I Remember You-ooo’ was the number I knew but as a teenage child and by a long stretch over anything else the hottest since the invention of toasted sliced bread. Swoo-o-ooo-oo-n. 🙂
