I see that 2GB has pulled all sponsorship from its morning program. they appear to claim the protests by those contacted their sponsors as “cyber bullying”.

Recent research coming out of CSIRO has positively linked the human like creature Jones, Alan Belford (sic), to a long extinct species of early cold blooded reptiles that disappeared during the Permian Extinction Event some 250 million Years ago. This creature, Copradiscobulosaurus Kleftisi, or Screaming Shit Throwing Lizard, subdued its prey into a vapid empty headed torpor by ranting at its prey until the creature just gave up the will to live. The vector of this creature’s demise is noteworthy. Whilst most creatures gave way to a rapid decline in global temperatures due to the eruption of the Siberian Traps clogging the atmosphere with persistent sun blocking aerosols and the impact of a comet or two; this creature seems to have suffered extinction due to a complete lack of environmental relevance. Evolution simply no longer needed this creature and it died out.

The CSIRO has provided the above posted picture as part of its pictorial and morphological evidence for the link between the extinct creature and this apparently modern survivor.
Note the cold dead lookinig eyes and the complete absence of lips. Further they claim to have a recording of the cogs going round in the creatures primitive limbic system. This marvel of biomechanical evolution is kept oiled so to speak by continuous secretions of bile, the overfow of which can sometimes become quiet distasteful to watch as it spills uncontrolled from the creature’s mouth, soiling and contaminating all those with range.
Sadly, the researchers say, this modern survivor from before the age of dinosaurs also looks to be in decline with recent data suggesting that the type specimen they have been studying may indeed be the last of its kind. “The creature is at war with its environment and the toll is showing.” said a researcher. Who added; “There appears to be no possibility of breading, and there’ve been some recent worrying health issues.”
“Any creature that cannot adapt to changing environments and renew and grow its numbers is doomed to extinction.” said lead researcher, Professor Adam Freeman.

MP and anti-Islam campaigner Geert Wilders has delayed his planned trip to Australia until the spring break next year, the Telegraaf reported on Monday.
An Australian anti-Islam group invited Wilders to give two speeches later this month but the Dutch parliamentarian has not yet received a visa.
Last month, Australia’s immigration minister Chris Bouwen defended the time taken to process the visa application, saying ‘it is not unusual for applications to take several weeks for a decision in complex cases’.
It is not clear if Wilders’ decision to delay the trip is related to the visa problems but the Telegraaf says the delay will give him time to fight the decision if the visa is eventually refused.
The parliamentarian was refused entry to England in 2009, but later allowed in for a screening of his anti-Islam video compilation Fitna.

This latest from the petition people;
50,000 people in less than 48 hours! The petition is moving so quickly the media can’t keep up with the figures. And I’m humbled that there are so many of you supporting it!
Woolworths, Mercedes-Benz, Challenger and Freedom Furniture have already withdrawn their support — and two regional radio stations have just announced they will stop broadcasting his show altogether.
Alan Jones owns part of 2GB, so I know it’ll be hard to get him off radio altogether. But holding the companies that fund Alan Jones accountable will help stop these vicious and hateful attacks from happening in the future.
There’s still lots of big brands, like Hyundai, Toyota, and Harvey Norman supporting Jones and his comments — that’s why we need to keep up the pressure!
Can you share the petition on Facebook now? Every time someone signs the petition an email is sent to Jones’ remaining sponsors.
Alan Jones is a bully, and he’s contributing to a toxic culture of aggressive personal attacks. No company should be supporting it — and many have already done the right thing by refusing to support his program any longer.

about 15,000 people have signed up to an online campaign targeting companies such as Harvey Norman, Big W and Mercedes-Benz, urging them to boycott 2GB and Jones.
Financial services provider Challenger and Lexus Parramatta this morning joined Freedom Furniture in pulling advertising, saying the company does not support Jones’s comments.
Mercedes-Benz too has instructed its dealers to cease any form of advertising on Jones’s show.
“Our company does not condone such inappropriate comments,” the carmaker said in a statement.
Supermarket giant Woolworths says while it is not a sponsor, it will suspend its periodic advertising during the program.
Regional radio station 2QN based in Deniliquin in the New South Wales Riverina has pulled its broadcast of Jones’s breakfast show.

I looked about three hours ago and there were 15000 signatures, I looked now and there’s over 22000, there aiming for 25000. I bet when it hits 25000 they’ll aim for 50000.

It will be interesting to see if these protests work. It is my opinion that Advertisers follow the people, not the other way around. There is only one way to stop the rancid Alan Jones and that’s by all his listeners switching off. He is but a reflection of the people who listen to him. And what a shonky reflection it is.

Nice to see that “Opposition Leader Tony Abbott has released a brief statement saying the comments are completely out of line. Mr Abbott says it is good that Jones has recognised that and apologised.” And he could be Prime Minister, he just doesn’t get the difference between the time for politics and common decency.

Perhaps his ambition for the night was to pick up some like minded Liberal twentysomething and he thought that his tough words might be the lure, the baited precursor to some tough lovin’ later.The toilets in the main quad at Sydney U. have a certain Victorian charm that would appeal to someone as anachronistically disposed as Jones.

I knew all that and remember reading Chris’ extracts – did not buy the book though we are old pals of Chris. The posted comments on the petition website make interesting reading. The self importance that Jones has is also fed by the invitations he gets to various Liberal type events. But what did Clover Moore ever do to join the ranks of those he despises – ah, she is a woman who leads. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if Jones joined the ranks of those in the Darwin Awards.

Lazy bones Baz didn’t like the fact that she held two roles i.e. an MP and Lord Mayor. Dopey Gay the Minister for Roads didn’t like where all the cycleways were in the city, reckoned they were in the wrong spot. He commissioned a report into them which found they were in the appropriate spot so Dopey quickly shut up. Given that Baz is one of its darlings.
It likes to “pick and stick”, though I’d be worried about the sticking.

Jones is an evil sociopath with delusions of grandeur and this, his most recent misogynistic attack, is just more from the same polluted and corrosive source. He’s a vampire sucking the civilty out of our national discourse.
It’s pointless getting all hot under the collar over this though. I’ve been all over the house and I just can’t find any more loathing to add to the small mountain of loathing I’ve already accumulated for the man.
Jones sees himself as politically inviolable, above the cut and thrust, always ready to provide what he would characterise, I’m sure, as the last word on any subject. He sees himself as the intellect of the Liberals and of such importance that politicians should regularly present themselves in the supine position to recieve his vile ministrations. He sees his opinions like holy writ for no better reason than that they are his.
The Sydney Uni Liberals have always been a viscious and duplicitous lot . it’s a kind of oven in which sociopaths simialr to Jones are regularly baked, and there is no surprise that Jones used this forum for his latest display of towering arrogance and almost total self absorbtion. They are the only audience, apart from the Liberal Party cabinet one suspects, that could possibly find the vector of his invective pleasing.
Still I’d put good money on his keeping his job. The sociopaths at 2GB see him as a like minded fellow traveller, and I’d further bet most of his advertisers do too, but the real problem, the bottom line so to speak, is that this kind of talk, first licensed and field tested during the disfunctional reign of Tiny Johhny Small The Turd Long Boy and brought to its apotheosos under Big Ears The Mad Monk, has become the default setting for the conservatives and these kinds of opinions do sound like sucour to his fans; political simpletons, mostly small minded, marginalised fearful and angry at the world. And they are legion. Sadly they don’t see that it is their adherence to just this kind of swill that blights their lives.
I hope this petition works and I have addended my name, but in the end the fair go is dead. Like Sandilands, while the money keeps pouring in his job is safe.
Perhaps a picket would work better, holding up placards or straight through the heart. Either way would suit me.

GOOGLEHOOVER: I agree with you. Absolutely. However, I do believe you are attacking the wrong person. Alan Jones exists because the great unwashed, mentally constipated, far right-wing old dears WANT him to be there.
As I’ve said elsewhere, advertisers don’t initiate a market, they follow the people. Get the people to refuse to listen to him. The advertisers will soon drop off.
Of course, the question remains as to how to achieve this? I have no idea but as soon as people can identify the real criminal-ie themselves-the sooner the odious creep will disappear.

His backhanded apology is not an apology. Anyway, it is impossible to apologise for such comments. He meant it and he said. Trying to fob off as a story he repeated from comments made at a birthday party that morning – pathetic. I hope this story gets lots of coverage and stays alive for quite a while as it will take a while to get back to his supporters and to Liberal voters who keep this turd on air. The other joke is that he says he likes Julia Gillard but not her policies. As if !!
His little excursion to the park (a toilet in the park) in the UK was a ripper but how did it never really get the coverage it should have.

I watched it but turned it off when Landline came on. It claimed he asked if there were any journo’s in the room etc. It apparently claimed that it spoke without notes and couldn’t remember half of what it said! It was truly pathetic. Classic caught with their pants down and we font the media with “apologies”. It was more like the dog returning to its vomit for mine. The oldest Algernonina and Mrs A thought it liked the sound of its own voice. Perhaps it was soothing for it.
Its little excursion was to a public facility opposite the West End Central sleep house for the police in Soho. I only know of this place as I had friends who worked at the pub adjoining the square and the copper friend suggested it was a haunt for youngish boys used for cottaging. Ironically under the boys noses. It was covered up and enormous resources were used to get the gross indecency charges dropped. It then sued those involved with the arrest.
Its a darling of the Liberals they are distancing themselves from its comments by trying to claiming that it had nothing to do with the party. I understand that it was Young Liberals that organised it, so go figure. As to what damage it causes it depends on how long this goes on for. Abbott being one of its darlings hasn’t repudiated its comments but needs to if he doesn’t and this thing gets legs it will be terminal for him. It appears Turnbull is the only one to have come out against it.
It is really a revolting piece of human detritus.

I have considered the opinions of this vile creature worthless since he managed to have gross indecency charges swept under the carpet in England then had the audacity to sue those responsible. I didn’t put much value on them before that. I can never understand why he has the influence that he does, I can only assume he has a collection of highly compromising pictures.
Will 2GB lance this boil, I doubt it, it’s a significant owner of the station. Will it recant, I doubt it.
