Last week, FM and Emmjay went to a performance art event in one of FM’s favourite fashion houses – Assin in Paddington, Sydney (also based in Melbourne). This was curiously the first time Emmjay and FM had actually seen art in the making.
Jun Inoue performed at Assin in Melbourne and produced a wonderful triptych piece that reminded us of a combination of large scale calligraphy and street art. Unfortunately we had to go after a couple of hours, but we returned to see the completed work.
FM and Emmjay would like to than Assin’s owner Ms Fernanda Kasjan for her kind invitation.
Video taken on the redoubtable iPhone 4s…… not great, but there, none-the-less and processed with Apple iMovie using steady cam. Soundtrack provided by the artist as he worked.

Looks like a load of wank to me

Hello Hung.
That’s a point of view. Should I wonder point and view.

Thank you for the update, Emmjay. How he got it to that quality of finish from where he was at with it when you left off the video I do wonder (metaphorical).

Was the background music included or did you dub it in

I wondered mine oath I did…

No, the artist had his own soundtrack. As recorded on the most marginal phone microphone in the universe. Tolerable, I guess as background.

I thought it was OK.

Remarkable quality of sound or we wouldn’t have wondered if it was overlaid on an editied film.

I dunno about “not great’ the video device you’ve used. Good sound too. When the film finished I was so engrossed following the processes in the content and the filming/editing equally I felt disappointed there wasn’t more. I got engrossed. There again the point you leave off is a moment of intense concentration on line and form, engaging. This is a good trailer. Thank you Emmjay for posting it.

Thank you for your kind words, ‘Shoe. I’ll have to go and snap a shot of the finished product tomorrow – I’m over in the Eastern suburbs for work.

I hope you get the chance to take a shot of it.

Re work if someone had the market for an excellent team like you and FM to snap this material around Sydney and present it so well, well that would be good for those of us aways who like to know what’s being presented in your neighbourhood.
