The 4 seasons is always a favourite of mine. It seems too blend in with falling autumn leaves or summer heat, daffodil spring, or freezing winter. I suppose it suits our high altitude here in the Southern Highlands more than in, I reckon, the northern tropics, but that is conjecture on my part. Thanks Algy, another good and enjoyable choice of fine sounds.

Whoever picked the picture with autumn leaves chose well…here in the cooler climate with get those lovely colours as well.

It reminded me of Mount Wilson in the Blue Mountains where we’d go when the kids were younger for the Autumn colours hence my reasons for picking it.

At the base of Mt Maungakieke I lived near and will always pay my homage to and visit in New Zealand when I go there is a substantial park at its base known locally as Cornwall Park. I thought of it. Imagine the excitement of these colonial gardeners planting their avenues of trees for future generations to admire. The real big advantage of these over eucalypts is the falling branches not falling on your head. 🙂

Only two of the bands here I knew little of when compiling, one in particular is a cover of another band I was looking for and never heard of. Some of these aren’t necessarily the best known tunes of some of these bands. They all have an Autumn feel to them though.

Oh, I’m blown away like an autumn leaf listening to Nat King Cole’s Autumn Leaves, as good as Yves Montard’s in French.
And two points for Abba, because their Swedish autumn is just like my Finnish ones 🙂

Alge, I was only joking, I don’t mind Abba at all, I was making fun of the European Song Contest, where the countries always give the highest points to their neighbours; Finland to Sweden and vice versa, no matter how good or bad the songs are 🙂
