801, awesome. Never seen any thing else from them but the live album. I wonder if those other albums you told me about exist on a catalog somewhere.

There were only two Listen now being the other apart from the live album. There were two other releases 801 Manchester released in 1997 and 801 Live in Hull in 2001. bother were 1977 concerts. 801 was a project whilst Roxy Music was in recess.
I read that 2JJ played this (I didn’t listen to commercial radio at the time and that 801 Live was the largest selling imported record of 1976 and forced distributors to release the record locally.
This is the title track off Listen Now

The King Crimson influence comes thru and they should have ditched Roxy Music as to me they just went on to play pap.

The drummer in 801 captures this ‘sense’, I reckon anyway.

This is fabulous, algy. I am writing. I have had a somewhat disturbed afternoon and I was up late as I was not sleeping last night. I watched Michael Palin’s New Europe in the early hours of the morning leastwise through the remains of one disk I started last week and through a second. Later on I will watch the third and final one. I am doing some research and reading a book at the same time as doing anything else at the moment. Not enough hours in a day. Anyway it’s a little chill here and needs extra quilt for sleeping so I had done that and settled down this morning sleeping. Missed the morning. Once the morning is missed any day is a day lost. All good though as I am happy enough in my quiet weekend as most people are out of town visiting families and touring.
I will have you that next episode asap and another to follow so if you are up to finding time for The Castle as you were suggesting, the hour is upon us especially if you need to refresh recall of the story algy. The style of writing changes a little in these current episodes and yet more characters are going to enter the stage. Have a good evening, tonight and may all your Easter eggs be delicious if you are indulging. (I am not indulging more’s the pity. Staying true off sugar for the duration. 🙂 )

I’m not minding the chill at the moment shoe, until two weeks ago it was just a continuation of the weather we’ve had since about October. I’m just about to get into your series now that Easter is out of the road and time to relax a bit.

I didn’t realise it had been hot all that time algy. Yes, the hardy would think that our 22 and 25 was good. Really I feel a mamby pamby wanting it to sit at about 28. Cheers, algy.

More so the nights are warm shoe. The temperature has barely been blow 20 degrees at night for about 6 months. Days until recently around 25-28. Until last Wednesday it had been the most amount of wet days at the start of Autumn for 30 odd years. Wet but not a lot of rain.

Alge, blow me over but stepped outside this afternoon to go out walking and the air had the ‘hot’ feeling that precedes a heavy storm with lots of thunder and it was overcast. I kept my woolly jumper on but at least felt more than passably protected from a brisk wind. Thank you, algy.

Have a lovely day Algy. Will play some of this in a day or two. Having quick sit down. 90% prepared. Just about to peel prawns and set table and light up the coals. No sunshine here today, so far.
