It was only a couple of weeks ago when Helvi suggested we should listen much more to music. Santa must have listened and voila; a bag full of music. Each morning now is taken up by fiddling with our pill boxes. Who would have thought of getting to that after a life-time of butter-milk and broccoli? Perhaps that’s why. We should have got stuck into take-aways.
Thank you, Algy.

Perhaps with the takeaways but I’m unsure of the appearance or the long term health benefits. I’m listening to a lot of music in my trial retirement. Mrs A likes it on in the background as well.

Algy, how will you know if the trial retirement is a success ? Just wondering….

I guess when I can see if there is sufficient funds to to actually make the change a permanent one. I’m not sure what that is yet. I have a well educated guess with that, and current spending is more than that. I guess if I work again it’s because I want to rather than need to.
I’m enjoying the moment. More time with Mrs A. But retirement is potentially a long time

Algy, I think the top right side says “Clymer Books”. When I was given to working on my own motorcycles in the 1970s-80s, Clymer was the workshop manual one would buy if one couldn’t get the good one – Haynes. In truth Clymer had really shit photographs and text so obscure one wasn’t certain whether it was even a photograph of the right bike.
In contrast, Haynes had really helpful advice as well as great photos – “use the proper tool and do it this way or else you will lose the middle finger on your left hand”.
So it’s only natural Clymer would branch out and cover failed cosmetic surgery 🙂
I’m wondering whether the image is of the boy pre- or post~ surgery. Anyway, his Mum and his surgeon look chuffed and the kid gets ice cream, so I guess its a win win win.

I’d be surprised if Clymer Books released this wonderful tome but who knows. My search for bizarre covers of course is never ending. Some are made up of course. There’s almost an endless supply of them, but it the double entendre I look for. The Christian records are the best, fairly innocent when they were produced but in this PC world are misconstrued. Some others are real and makes you think what on earth were they thinking.
I like this one mother and the surgeon with the happy look could well be hiding something sinister. But the ice cream and jelly is a short term win for a lifetime of disfigurement.
