I could have sworn I saw a Dugites track so I went looking for more, found the above and then made my way back to the list, only to find that I hadn’t seen a Dugites track. Age appropriate dementia setting in.
I always enjoyed The Dugites and they were all hot players. Paul Noonan, the bass player worked with Sche on a movie soundtrack, I think it was, or maybe it was The Subterraneans. I can’t quite remember. It was more than 35 years ago.
About the same time I first became familiar with the Specials, which band has remained a favourite with high rotation on my iTunes. I remember first hearing “Free Nelson Mandela” on The J’s as I drove into town from the eastern suburbs. I loved it! Full on wheel slapping and singing along. I’m a sucker for a band with front line; particularly Trom.

Now that takes me back, thanks for that, Waz. They were a WA band, The Dugites one of many great bands out of the west then.
I like a brass section in any band and saxophone. All the kids played instruments, junior, trumpet, the elder played the bone, but not for a while for both the younger still plays tenor sax.
Like the Specials a lot and Ska generally.
