Thanks Emm always enjoy The Stranglers, have seen them live a few times now, but not with Hugh Cornwall. Yep remember the night well. There was The Machinations, The Stranglers and Blondie. They were better than Blondie. The Elder was a late ring in as Mrs A pulled up lame earlier in the day.
Cripes ! Seems like a couple of years ago. It was a hot night. I think we were up in the gods and being Enmore those are not what you’d consider your top shelf merciful gods 😊

I agree. I was fascinated that the go go girls repeated the same steps so much. Right leg muscles like Alaskan King crabs.
Second stranglers clip. Middle horn guy’s quiff. Epic.
And Viv is right. Stranglers – better sound gear but Kinks laid down the foundations.

Agree. Also having them dance just one step over and over – right up the back speaks volumes about the choreography 😊

Both great. Stranglers benefit from better sound equipment but wouldn’t exist without the original.

Algy and I once went to a Stranglers gig at the Enmore. Amazing it was 😊. This post was especially for him.
