I liked them too. Then again I’ve been getting into a lot of folk, country and roots rock as well as Americana lately.

I’ve been listening to a Scottish band Del Amitri. A mate liked to play them when I would go over to his place for a jam. I got their best of, good listening. The other surprise group is the Corrs. Got a CD at the junk shop for $1. Not sure of the name but they are live. Great voices.

I like the Corrs as well, a $1 a bargain.

My problem with the Corrs – and I imagine some other folks’ problem too … is that the stunningly beautiful sisters distract me from the music.
I reckon their brother could walk around the stage in a gorilla suit and nobody would notice 😁

Oh and Tutu sent me up some Amy Whitehouse, couldn’t get into it.

I like Amy, tragic life however, hounded by the paparazzi. Undiagnosed mental health issues too I suspect.

Yes I agree with that. She died of alcoholic poisoning after a period of sobriety.

Winehouse. We differ there bro. I love her work and think it’s so sad that she died so young. Her prodigious talent would have matured like the finest wine house. A marvellous rock/ jazz singer.
Mark Ronson and the Winettes performing “Valerie” … major fun.

The album is called Frank. 13 tracks all much the same. Tutu loved it. Talented for sure just not for me.

Yeah, I can never figure out why any artist releases an album where all the tracks sound the same.
There was a big hullabaloo about the Taylor Swift album so I had a listen. Pleasant enough pap, but I thought I must have dropped off and Apple Music was replaying it from the start. Might have been. Couldn’t tell !

Hankering for a return of the age of Aquariums ? Sometimes autocorrect is hilarious. I couldn’t resist leaving this one alone.
I bought an Album by Ray Davies reminiscing on the Kinks turbulent relationship with America. It has a poetic spoken track not constrained by rhythm and rhyme. A spoken history – I’ll try to dig it up.

Mark Ronson, now there another fantastic, musical talent and producer. What he did with Valerie. Did something similar with Bruno Mars and Miles Cyrus.

I thought with so many departing recently that a list of some of their tunes was apt. Three of them were in a week.
