A cute and pretty thing of Japanese origin. I’ve been aware of it floating around the little girl world for 10 or so years in Oz, but if you’re not connected to that world there will have been little reason for it to hit your radar.
Diddl the mouse was a similar craze with the pre-teen girls in Europe a few years ago. I rather liked it.
OK, so what does the picture mean? Or if you like, what’s it a picture of, apart of course from lots of Hello Kitty’s? or is that the point? ie there’s so much Hello Kitty merch that the world is slowing being buried in it.
I dunno. I sometimes think I gave drugs up too early.

Now I know I’m ‘out of the loop’… this is the first I’ve heard of ‘Hello Kitty’… What planet am I on?

Ok, so it’s been a few days now. I’ll sucker up.
What is this all about and what have Buzz and Holden got to do with it?

Presumably an allusion (or delusion) to Buzz (H)aldrin. Holdren. Holdin?

Buzz and Holden are regular commenters over at Crikey!’s First Dog on the Moon cartoon blogs. Maybe they might come over here a little too.
