A resilient little thing, this Cyclamen has survived droughts, heat and frost and now the house moving!
It looks a bit pale, so it might need re-potting and fertilizing.
Clearly you didn’t drive over with this on the top of the load in the ute, Gez.
I find cyclamen torture and the same kind of heartbreaking as the Angel fish in the aquarium. They die of rot if you water them; they die of desiccation if you don’t.
My other too hard basket is frying calamari. 97 seconds tough; 103 seconds perfect; 104 seconds plus tough. Note. these numbers are made up. I have no idea how they do it in restaurants.
Maybe I missed out the preparation bit of putting the cala into a cement mixer full of bricks and lysol for a week.
Just as an aside, I caught the Angel fish attacking the last remaining gourami – after despatching his mate. After that it wass only the catfish.
So I sent the Angel fish to surfing school – surfing the Malabar pipeline.
I was very upset when years ago Daughter left her Greek boyfriend Harry. Harry was very nice, but that was not my concern. I was sorry because I lost the only person who could cook calamari perfectly: Harry’s mum.
Don’t worry Gez, nothing a good dose of roundup wouldn’t fix 🙂

With these repeat stories, we are getting repeat replies; didn’t you say the same thing last year, Warrigal? 🙂

No, I think I said that “Persian Delight” has a completely different meaning at our house.
And yes I was being a bit boyish, but then I am a bit of a boy. At least the response above is poetic, if entirely derivative.

Hope it’s not related to the pretty Persian doctor, with the aluring eyes.

Who says that the doctor was pretty 🙂
She was a pretty good doctor though, and when my Cyclamen disappears I’ll know where Gez has taken it !

The gourami survived but has become reclusive.

Now I don’t eat calamari anymore.

Yeah, I suspect when you master it, you probably need go no further, cuisine-wise. He’s a mystic, a guru of the cala. That’s what it takes.
