Just played ‘Wooden Ships’. There are some wonderful pics, including Joe Cocker, Jimi Hendrix and even Dylan (I think) & Pete Townsend.
Some good shots of the festival too. Yes this song is a great favourite of mine.

Geez, you’re well informed, our Hung. I just got an advanced notice that CS&N (minus the Y) are touring in March-April next year. Clearly not THAT advanced as far as notice goes 🙂

Might have to go along Mike, one of my favourites as a young person

Hung, is that a picture of Ms JG Cole…a 46 year old female with thinning locks and hair sprouting from the nose 🙂

It’s Graham Nash, an English singer and prolific songwriter. He was with The Hollies, a leading band in the 60s He has a high tenor voice and blended well with Stephen Stills (I love his work) and David Crosby.
I saw a show on OVATION, or STVDIO (yes is has a v, in it), the other day. It was a recent (2010) concert in Victoria Park East London. They were all old and paunchy, however in tune & punchy.
Great stuff. However, I haven’t digested Algy’s Friday choices yet. Are U2 in competition?

VL, thanks for info, I don’t know anyone called Nash, but then I’m not that much into popular music…

No this is not a competition. This was spur of the moment

Not that I know of VL, I’m doing Fridays until the end of January when I’ll hand things back to Waz then. HOO looks to have taken a certain theme and followed through. Good list there Hung
