Smoke on the Water

RIP Jon… Interesting list this week Algae… far from ‘run-of-the mill’… I’ll give you my opinions on ’em after I’ve ‘eard ’em!
(Though I do remember Deep Purple and the Royal Philharmonic, of course… I think it started a whole wave of ‘rocked-up’ classics and ‘classicized’ rock music…)

Definately not run of the mill for me Asty, it’s not even run of the mill for Deep Purple. Jon Lord though was a very complex musician. I think you’re rigth to about the style too.

Thought so… didn’t go much on the rocked up classics, though I was quite impressed by the influence of the classics on rock… which didn’t stop at the purploids, of course…

Good band the purples. And I’m with H, keep giving the rusted on right wingers a pasting. I call custard Mr Yellow and Runny and Rusty Mr Iron Oxide.

I reckon Custard eats too much of the product Hung. As for Chips, he’s just a bigoted Southern African.

Thank you Helvi, very different for me and much I’m not that familiar with.
I had my day off on Friday so I was a little active getting a few up at night too. Custard is a first class clown devoid of any original comment, just parrots the same old same old. As for chips well they’re Zimbabwean refugees who choose to have a go at boat people and would prefer the boats sunk, not the sort of grub I choose to defend. Chips is fractionally better than custard. Rusty is another redneck buffoon. I’d prefer to debate the likes of Elijah Thomas who we haven’t seen for a long while. He might have been a tory but at least you could have a decent argument with him sometimes even agree.
