Got to add that I have been having problems with making comments and bloody reversing to old log in style and then back to the new. Clicking into comment box is problem – can get locked out it seems.

I found last week that I had to upgrade from Internet Explorer 7 as this site was running on compatibly mode and I’ve found that IE7 is about to become unsupported. As I run XP I can’t upgrade to IE8, so I’ve chosen Google chrome instead. That seemed to get rid of the problems I was having here.
The computer will be upgraded next year so I’m making little changes until then.

Strange … because I am on Internet Explorer 8 and run on XP2 and the compatability message has only been coming up the last week on this site , i.e. it doesn’t happen elsewhere. I think the whole thing has a mind of its own and just does things to annoy us !

I didn’t think I could upgrade to IE8 so I didn’t. The compatibility issue for me came up a week or so ago. I was having problems elsewhere, not necessarily with compatibility so I changed to something else and these problems went away, Google maps actually works for example.

They’re not songs necessarily for or against per se but songs that were written as a response during and after. Thanks for your candid response.

Response was more because I like good old rock and roll and basicall happy, oomphy stuff. What you put up is good. And last night I put on some DVDs and watched Blonde and Midnight Oil and did some solo dancing trying to be quiet at the same time. I’ve got Pointer Sisters in the car CD etc. See what I mean.

I don’t have a problem with criticism Vivenne saying you didn’t like this particular list. We all have differing tastes in music. From time to time people aren’t going to like what I put on a particular list. Some of this music in this list was designed to uplift people especially during WW2. I like 60’s and 70’s soul listen to it a lot of the time via an internet radio station in Atlanta, but I’m not going prepare lists of that all the time (maybe just occasionally).

I appreciate all the hard work which goes into compiling these lists – not easy I am sure. As a list it is good as I said and it is not unlikeable, just not to my taste – which is a different thing altogether. What I said originally didn’t come over as I really intended. Sorry.

It OK vivenne I accept what you are saying.

I have great affection for gospel music, which paradoxical for an irreligious person, but, there you go.

Well that’s interesting, In one of the lists I’m putting together one or to gospel songs would fit very well but wasn’t sure whether I should include them. Might rethink that or have another look at the context.
