My Dad thought it was his role to teach us rhyming slang, not just rote learning the words, but being able to decipher new slang. He also belted us for dropping our ‘G’, or saying ‘fuck’.
I’ve worked with a few newly arrived Indians and a lot of the thinking in these was evident in some of them but after a while they changed. Mrs A sent it on to a couple of Indian friends one didn’t get it the other thought it was hilarious.
Hilarious

It was an all round education.

My father didn’t teach me rhyming slang but I did have a group of mates where we did use it. But not to this extent.

I don’t think the Indians are actually quite up to date. But it is good fun.
