Algy, as a matter of interest, for the first time ever I heard Sharon Jones singing I’m Still Here on ABC local radio.

Really, I’ve heard her played on ABC local radio here, but not often.

Some pieces here I’ve not heard before algy thank you. Poinciana is a pretty thing. Edge of Reality I know from offering a pitifully rough vinyl version of it on a radio programme. Makes me chuckle to remember. I still think it’s an interesting song for him to sing.
I love the film of the Boswell Sisters. I listened on. How about their version of It Don’t Mean A Thing If It Don’t Have That Swing. I’m certainly better educated for this list. Very pleasured too.

Lot’s of Sisters in this list, Algy.
I have to admit to a liking for Patsy Cline. She really captures sad and lonely like nobody else. I once bought a double CD of her songs. I see now that this was an over-the-top kind of action.
I’m better now thanks to modern pharma.
Except for Roy Orbison – Only the Lonely, indeed !
As usual, your selection of pictures is right up there with the most disturbing.
Many thanks, mate.

You nailed it Emmjay if you’ll excuse the use of the word. Disturbing.
Lass got the measure too of the album cover while the opportunity was on the table.

Its a fabulous picture this one. I’ve found a few more for later in the year. You have to wonder what they were thinking.
Yes many a sister but none from our resident ones I notice.

What do yoiu mean algy by resident ones? (My comment about getting the measure was reference to her outstretched arms frame to frame in case you were wondering. 🙂 )

Twas in reply to Emm, shoe. Oue resident sisters Hung and Big M had at the time not visited. Hung visted shortly after.

I reflected on the sisters referred to by Emm as American and interpreted your ‘none being resident’ as referring to Australian female artists and that didn’t make sense to me algy, because you finished ‘I notice’. I wondered what you meant. I didn’t give our pub nursing sisters a thought.
Sorry to be slow. Thank you algy,
