Confused as hell by the setting of The Hillbilly Explosion in the bowling alley. Fabulous brass. Fab bass player. Pity about the arrangement for the guitars.

For some reason rockabilly never really struck a chord, maybe the Stray Cats and Nick Lowe I didn’t seem to mind.

This video of a collation of Sophia Loren great moments is so well done too. Her strength as a vocalist and dancer recalls to my mind the loss from us of Marilyn Monroe way too young, just as she was embarking on a time of potential in her career as a dramatic actress and singing. Darling Sophia, great choice of vid.

Perfect pick-me-up on such a grey wet and cold November Monday ! Nice one Algy.
I’m cruising along to the Stray Cats’ Be Bop A Lula . Smooth ! It’s chopped and channelled and lowered and louvered.
Many thanks.
