I’m sucker for a song with a narrative. “The Devil Went Down to Georgia.” and live too; Yehaaa! But this Dixie Chicken is being called by my Tennessee Lamb for dinner. I’ll listen to the rest later. Great selection.

Americana at both its best. A version of the southern dream that maybe wasn’t but which they none the less all believe could have, should have been.

I think the Allman Brothers Band looked better with their clothes on, tough.
Never the less they are still great – and the quintessential southern band – Leonard Skinerd with their “Stuff you Neil Young” Sweet Home Alabama.
Not forgetting the great Credence Clearwater Revival !
