Back when I was employed I used to fly around the state for work. We always had travel at the cheapest cost which generally meant flying REX. The few these small 2 and 1 rowed SAAB’s. There was never a meal but there was tea coffee and a snack.
Anyhow on one flight there was the trolley, she asked savoury or sweet, which was a packet of chip like things or a fruit and nut bar. This one was robotic, savoury or sweet she asked I said the savoury, she replied we’re out of the savoury, well sweet it is then.
Season’s greetings, Yvonne. And can I say many thanks for your support for the rather tired of late Pig’s Arms.
Too much on, but I can say with some pride that I did my bit for the great resignation sweeping the western world – and quit my job last Tuesday. I plan to take a year off to do grandfather stuff. I am now personally responsible for 3.8 grandchildren with Emmlet 1.3 set to arrive in mid January.
After that I’ll compare returning to work somewhere with the genteel poverty of retirement. :-). In the mean time, I think I can apply a lick of paint to the old pub with the time and energy to rev her up a bit.

Off to the next she went savoury or sweet.

Emm, if you find you can afford it you’ll wonder why you didn’t do it earlier.
For me who trialed retiring when I lost my job, I found I wasn’t going back to work. I’m healthier, happier and a lot lighter as a result.
