I was tempted to ask, ‘What the fuck are you doing in Cairns?’, which I thought was a bit rude, so, what the fuck are you doing in fucking Cairns?

I ran away from home and joined a ukulele band.
Alternatively I got a job doing quality control on the Sydney Travelling Film Festival.
Alternative alternative I got a job with Queensland Regional Health eHealth rolling a new system out to 58 clinics right up to Torres Strait Islands. 3 months up till mid Feb excluding Christmas.
FM is coming up on Wednesday for a few days. It’s rough I have to stay in a 4 1/2 star resort. Today’s peak hour traffic report was 12 1/2
minutes to the five kms to work. FFS up here they go in 30 sec increments. Fuckin paradise unless you’re poor and live out of town.
I had a pet box jellyfish but my pet crock ate him, the tank, the neighbours cat……

Thanks, mate.
I am taking to working in Cairns like a flying fox to a mango.
Really interesting project. Lovely people, heaps to do apart from work.
Not the best time of year- the build up to the wet season. Stinking hot and humid, but even the airconditioners have airconditioners. They have stinger nets in the beaches but only tourists swim in the ocean. Nets not so effective with crocs.
More than one person has told me to never swim at dawn or dusk. I have no problem with that. The former is sleep time and the latter is strumming time 😊
These Uke players are crazy mad and so much fun to jam with. Like three times a week. I reckon that’s got to help improve my playing.
I hope this finds you well and prospering sport.
Fond regards, Emm.
