… or not enough π. Thereβs a Pokey LaFarge clip live from Amsterdam …. they screw up the start of the song…. and an audience member says what you said. Tw o the band members simultaneously replied … β or not enoughβ ππ
Am I beginning to detect something of a theme here, Emmjay? Seems to me a lot of these songs are about whiskey… π
Btw, in that pic of Canned Heat… the dude second in from the right… would I be crazy for thinking he looks a LOT like Norman Greenbaum? (Of ‘Spirit in the Sky’ fame…)
I think I’ll take a break now… I’ll be back later for the rest of the list… too much whiskey all at once isn’t good for me! π
First time I’ve ever heard of ‘The Kildares’ or their version of ‘Whiskey in the Jar’… but it’s fabulous. Love the dude strangling that octopus… never really thought of the bagpipes (incidentally, he’s playing the Scottish, rather then the Irish bagpipes!) as a rock’n’roll instrument… and I’d never thought of this song as a rock’n’roll song until I heard Thin Lizzy’s version, but as that was back in the ’70s I guess I’m used to that by now, anyway! π

A short break from preparing a list that’s all. I’ve a couple on the go at the moment.
